Artist: Pam Carlson

Pam was born and raised in Darien, CT where even at a young age, she loved art and participated in local Art School shows. While Attending college she worked each summer in NY working in commercial art in the advertising world. Teaching won here heart over graduation and she taught art for several years before becoming a full time mother and bringing her craft back in to her home.

The call of Art came again when she built a studio in her home and exhibited in town green art and craft shows up and down the east coast; this went on for over twenty years. Now she is concentrating on gallery shows and has had her paintings shown at the Old Lyme Art Association; Essex Art Association, The Garvin Studio, Chester Co-op, The Art Trail, Slater Memorial Museum, Three Rivers Art Show, Pittsburgh, PA; and Gallery West Bozeman, MT.

Her chicken subjects come from their farms and backyards from Montana to Connecticut. She is happy to announce that for the past two years she has been painting with five other very talented women known as Six Women Painting and we have had joint showings around Eastern CT. Pam now resides in Essex, Connecticut where the only chickens in her yard are on canvas.
