Artist Demonstration
Maria Joseph Nace, SP
Sunday, August 22nd from 12 - 2pm
Left Bank Gallery Essex, LLC presents an artist demonstration and poetry reading with Maria Joseph Nace, SP. Inspired by nature and faith, Nace will describe the art and poetry featured in her book, Poet with a Brush. Nace is a Sister of Providence of Holyoke, MA. She currently teaches at Baypath College and the Elms College. She exhibits watercolor and oil paintings primarily in the New England area and has been showing her work with Left Bank Gallery Essex since its opening. The profits from Nace’s sales go back to the Sisters of Providence. Copies of her book and a selection of watercolors are available at Left Bank Gallery Essex. Meet the artist and watch her work: Sunday, August 22nd from 12-2pm. This event is free and open to the public. All are welcome to attend.
Artist Demonstration
Catherine M. Elliott

Left Bank Gallery Essex, LLC presents an artist demonstration with contemporary Impressionist painter, Catherine M. Elliott. She will paint in plein air in the gallery courtyard or village green, weather permitting. Elliott’s canvases depict iconic New England landscapes and employ painterly techniques similar to the Impressionist masters, often highlighting the distinctive color and light of the Connecticut shoreline. From cultivated gardens to wild beach roses lining sandy dunes, Elliott’s paintings are alive with the beauty of the natural world. An accomplished and prolific painter, Elliott’s work is exhibited and collected widely. She is a member of the Lyme Art Association and the Pleine Aire Painters Society. A new collection of work is on view at Left Bank Gallery Essex. Meet the artist and watch her work: Sunday, August 29th from 12 - 2pm. This event is free and open to the public.
